Client Review

As a review service, we will analyze your procedures for unclaimed property reporting compliance.  We will conduct brief interviews with key personnel to gain an understanding of a company’s business practices and relate them to unclaimed property reporting requirements.  All business units are part of this review.  Our evaluation goes beyond vendor and payroll checks and also considers property types typical of the business we are assisting.

If we believe there is reporting exposure (due to no previous reporting or in addition to what is being reported) we will quantify it based upon information available.  It may be appropriate to take a sample of some of the items and, if necessary, request more detailed information about what is disclosed in order to estimate any exposure.

All estimates and recommendations resulting from the Client Review are submitted in a written report.

INITIAL COMPLIANCE

Reclaim It manages the Initial Compliance process for those companies that have never reported before or have not previously reported all eligible property types on their books.  Depending on the facts, the appropriate filing methodology is utilized to assure that the reporting entity is brought fully into compliance with the unclaimed property statutes of all states at the lowest possible cost.

Procedure and Policy Creation

Reclaim It works with a client to develop written policies and procedures related to the unclaimed property compliance process.
